Prospector pan features in Nigel Slater's Greenfeast autumn, winter

There is so much to love about the second Greenfeast book, by Nigel Slater.

 

Focussing on autumn and winter, the vibrant orange, cloth bound cover not only evokes all the shades we love about autumn, but brings with it a warming glow much needed on short, grey winter days.

And within, the recipes are succinct, simple, but so satisfying; their simplicity belying the complexity and  comfort of the finished dish.  For example: ORZO, SMOKED MOZZARELLA, THYME; described by Nigel as pale, soft and deeply cosseting.    A veritable hot water bottle of a dish.

 

 

Page 147 is, without a doubt, our favourite page in the entire book – a picture of the recipe entitled, FILO PASTRY, CHEESE, GREENS, a tart to eat straight from the oven, cooked and served in a Netherton Foundry Prospector Pan.  Lyrical writing, luscious food and our cookware, a winning combination.
