Shropshire made, ash wood palette slice with black iron handle.

May be used with all types of cookware and is ideal for tin lined copper pans and cake forms.

Our British hardwood palette slice is perfect for spreading fillings as well as icing and frosting cakes. It’s the perfect tool for lifting biscuits and cookies from the baking sheet to the cooling rack and the ultimate pancake flipper!

Slide it under your fish fingers for precision turning or run it round the rim of the cake tin for a perfect turn out.  And what better tool for serving the perfect slice of gateau, pie or cheesecake.

A wide blade makes it ideal for sliding under the food to turn it over or for removing it from the pan in one piece; no flaking fish or broken egg yolks.

Untreated 4mm thick British ash wood blade has ground front and sides with a fine hand sanded finish.
The wooden blade is non-scratching and is kind to all cook and bakeware surfaces.
Comfortable ⅛ inch (3mm) thick black iron handle.
The durable 99.1% pure iron handle is pre-seasoned with organic flax oil for an easy clean finish.
Highlighted with a Netherton brand brass rivet.
Hand-made and assembled with solid brass screws.

Cleaning

After use, wipe clean with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Never put your ash utensils in the dishwasher. Store in a dry airy place.
We recommend applying a a food-safe wood oil to keep the ash blade looking good and stopping it drying out and eventually splitting, we suggest walnut oil as a safe natural choice.
The handle is made from black iron & will need thoroughly drying after use or it will rust. We suggest coating the handle with a thin wipe of olive oil or bees wax to prevent rusting.
