Genevieve Taylor in THE WEEK
It’s always a joy to bump into old friends in unexpected places, even better when it’s a friend with a Netherton pan. We spotted Genevieve Taylor in the most recent issue (issue 1492, 15th June 2024) of The Week, which describes itself as being for “ readers who want to know what's going on in the world, without having to read several daily newspapers or get wrapped up in the endless news cycle. For every important story, our editors carefully select commentary from all sides of the debate and artfully stitch them together into one concise read. By showing you every perspective, we enable you to form your own opinion.” With no political agenda it aspires to “inform, enlighten and entertain its readers with a smart and eclectic range of briefings, digests, reviews and profiles” priding itself on its open-mindedness and curiosity.
In the Food and Drink section of the Leisure pages, you will find one of Genevieve’s brilliant dishes from her new book Scorched, grilled prawns with garam masala butter, featured as recipe of the week.
In Gen’s own words ’this combination of garlicky garam masala butter and hot grilled prawns is a winner’ and we love to see that she has cooked her prawns in a 12” Netherton prospector pan, atop one of our 15” barbeque chapas.
SCORCHED is Genevieve’s latest book about cooking over fire and is focussed on fish, a topic that scares so many people when the charcoal is lit. She does everything to dispel those fears and tempt us all into experimenting with fish and flame to add another dimension to your barbeque offerings.
And with promises of summer’s long awaited and much anticipated arrival next week, we can think of nothing better than a copy of Scorched and your own Netherton kit to make the most of it.
