Channel 4 Sunday Brunch: Jenny Linford talks about her latest book REPAST and Netherton Foundry tiffin tin.

Sunday Brunch (C4) takes a light hearted and wide ranging look at the world of food, with an engaging and entertaining panel of guests.  Tasty bites and banter run through the show with presenters Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy holding the show together with a foodie pedigree, much good humour and just enough of a rein to keep the herd of kittens from running amok!
Jenny Linford’s appearance on the Sunday Brunch show , 20th July 2025,  lent a degree of gravitas amongst the fun, as she shared the story behind her book REPAST, written in collaboration with the British Museum  and described some of the wonderful artefacts in the book.  She was invited to the “show and tell” segment where guests are asked to bring in an object for the virtual Sunday Brunch Museum of Food.  It gave us a glow of pride to watch her describe the custom copper tiffin tin we made for her to celebrate the publication of the book.  This was a true labour of love and we know that Jenny treasures it.
Juxtaposed with a feature on oversized sausages, Jenny’s description of the items featured in REPAST, the details of the skills and craftsmanship that went into producing them and the evolving nature of food production, preparation and consumption highlighted the variety that Simon and Tim bring to the show.  There really is something for everyone with an interest in food.

Anarchic is perhaps going too far, but the organised chaos and enthusiasm for all things food make Sunday Brunch a joy to watch.

Watch the show.              Buy the book.              Visit the museum.
