The Financial Times HTSI; The secret to the perfect pot

Is there anyone left on the planet who hasn’t heard of Stanley Tucci?  If you haven’t seen him on TV or in a film (he’s won six Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Tony Award, so there’s a chance you will have seen him in at least one!), then you may well be one of the 4,400,000 people who follow him on Instagram, where his cooking and cocktail making are now legendary.

So it was a “pinch me” moment when we found ourselves mentioned in the Financial Times, alongside this legendary figure, as well as food writing heroes Bee Wilson and Ed Smith.  To say that our cheeks are the same blush pink as the paper's pages is an understatement. In fact, Netherton Foundry was not on the pink pages, but name checked in the glossy HTSI (How To Spend It) supplement, where Ajesh Patalay mentions that spun iron is our speciality and where you also see a Netherton foundry wok proudly on display. Ajesh also notes that “all non-stick coatings degrade” which is why our flax oil seasoned pans, which get better with age,  are a far better investment.
