A special urgent delivery was made by Sue from Netherton Foundry to our County town yesterday. The fabulous new Momo No Ki Ramen Noodle Bar. Chris Burt's latest venture in Shrewsbury was in desperate need of even more woks! The restaurant has been exceptionally busy since it opened just a few weeks ago.
It's Chris ambition to source everything for his oriental themed restaurant from within Shropshire. He says "the food of the region is sublime" and he already a number of local producers supplying him with top quality ingredients.
Chris told us " I didn't think that I'd be able to source the hardware locally too, but what better for a Shrewsbury noodle joint than Shropshire made woks". He personally got to use Netherton Foundry Woks at the Shrewsbury Food Festival and was instantly smitten - they have now become an essential part of the Momo kitchen and he's even got one on the wall!
So when you eat at Momo No Ki, you can be sure of the quality of the ingredients, the provenance of the cookware and the inspired and imaginative cooking of Chris and his team, all held together by terrific front of house service overseen by Kirstie
