This wok cooks food quickly and evenly. No need for flax oil, I can confirm, after a few years heavy usage, rape seed oil works fine to maintain the surface. On the highest heats I still don’t get food catching. My only complaint about this wok is the angle of the handle. It may be traditional and it looks aesthetically right, but when you have a heavy load in the wok, the angle puts too much strain on the wrist. One day I might pluck up the nerve to put it in a vice and see if I can bend it. |

An excellent wok and well worth the money. It is very light but will last a lifetime and then some. If you are hesitating, then don't, just buy it. |

An absolute beauty to use! I was apprehensive about the gritty coating, worried that food would stick, but it definitely wasn't so. It's as if the food floats on the surface. I also worried about the fishy smell of the flax oil when seasoning it, but the food certainly didn't pick it up. I have used woks for years, and this one is just stunning to work with! Completely in love with it! |
