Here's Jim, one of our woodturners.
In this short video you can see Jim hand turning our traditional kettle handle.
It's all about traditional craft skills, a bit of time and a lot of attention to detail.
Like all of us Jim has his favourite items to turn, at the moment that's the curvy shaped Kitchen Companion temperature knob. He likes a well seasoned chunk of oak with a "bit of character" in the grain. Jim would claim that the job he dislikes the most is the branding of our trademarked logo onto the wood, however he does it much better than everyone else!
We love the fact that he is using these traditional skills and takes a pride in his craftsmanship. We don't want a homogenised product, where every one looks identical. We imbue character into each individual product we make. We like the fact that we can introduce you to the craftsmen who work with us, so you can see what goes into the making of our products.
